Intelligent Autonomous Robots
We
demand ever more of our machines, and increasingly we want them
to work with us and around us. This raises a number of fundamental
questions:
- How
do robots cope when they are not tethered to their human creators?
- How
can we get robots to perform tasks useful to us?
- How
can we get robots to co-operate with other robots to perform a
single task?
MIABOTS
are miniature, fully autonomous robots, which are ideally suited
to explore such questions. Each Miabot contains a drive-train, on-board
power source, radio link, computer and sensors in a small 8cm Cubed
modular chassis.
MIABOTS
are already used by around the world for R&D. In Europe they
are commonly used for Robot Soccer competitions.
