Our aim is to promote the the design, construction, use and research in robotics. To this end we provide a range of quality robots and equipment to the hobby and Education market and are building a library of background information and links to aid the robotics amateur and educationalist.

We realise that many people will have strengths and weaknesses in their background knowledge and abilities, or simply do not have enough time to spare but would like to get "into" robotics.
To assist these people we have adopted a "Building Block Approach" where possible so that no special circuits or mechanical components need be made (unless that's your interest) and with the aim of getting your Robotic Ideas up and running as quickly as possible

Many of the components we supply are normally only available to industry but have been made available here with a view to promoting their use in our chosen market, therefore providing a large degree of "real world" content.

If you find any toys on this site it is because they embody and demonstrate good robotic principles and construction or are a fine example of a particular robot genus. There is an unfortunate principle that "Really Good Robots" do not neccessarily make "Good Toys" - eg a robot dog can be a very expensive toy but a very low cost quadruped robotic experimentation platform!

We will continue to make the RobotstoreUK site as informative and educational as possible and we are open to any suggestions for improvement along these lines.

Many of the robotics Books are from the USA and their lists of suppliers for components and sub systems are often only available in the USA - we therefore supply many of the parts and components quoted in in many of these books to make the passage through the learning process easier for all.
